সংজ্ঞানাত্মক ভাষাবিজ্ঞান

ভাষাবিজ্ঞান এবং সংজ্ঞানাত্মক বিজ্ঞানে সংজ্ঞানাত্মক ভাষাবিজ্ঞান (ইংরেজি: Cognitive Linguistics) বলতে ভাষাবিজ্ঞানের একটি ঘরানাকে বোঝায়, যেখানে মনে করা হয়, মানুষের সামগ্রিক সংজ্ঞান (cognition) প্রক্রিয়ার প্রেক্ষিতেই ভাষার সৃষ্টি, শিখন, ও ব্যবহার সবচেয়ে ভালভাবে ব্যাখ্যা করা সম্ভব। সংজ্ঞানাত্মক ভাষাবিজ্ঞানীরা তিনটি মূল অবস্থান গ্রহণ করেছেন। প্রথমত, ভাষার জন্য মনে বা মস্তিষ্কে যে একটি আলাদা স্বয়ংক্রিয় ব্যবস্থা আছে, সেটি তারা অস্বীকার করেন। দ্বিতীয়ত, তারা "ধারণায়ন" (conceptualization)-এর প্রেক্ষিতে ব্যাকরণ বোঝার চেষ্টা করেন। এবং তৃতীয়ত, তারা দাবী করেন যে ভাষার ব্যবহারের মধ্যে দিয়ে মানুষের মধ্যে ভাষা সম্পর্কিত জ্ঞান গড়ে ওঠে।
